(Foxborough, MA) - The ongoing Deflate-gate controversy finally got a response from the New England Patriots’ two biggest names.
Both head coach Bill Belichik and quarterback Tom Brady spoke to the media on Thursday. Belichik was up first and distanced himself from the situation saying he was shocked to hear the reports when they came out on Monday.
Belichik then seemed to throw his quarterback under the bus regarding the deflation of the footballs by saying "Tom's personal preferences on his footballs are something he can talk about in much greater detail than I could possibly provide."
Brady was up next and said he had no clue how the balls were underinflated either.
"I didn't alter the ball in any way. I have a process where I pick out the game balls I want before the game and after I select them I don't want anyone touching them, putting any air in or taking any air out. To me, those balls are perfect and that's what I expect when I step on the field."
