(DENVER) - The Indianapolis Colts went into Denver yesterday, for their divisional round match up with the Bronco’s and came defeated the Broncos, 24-13.
Led by Andrew Luck on the offense, who threw for 265 yards and two scores, the Colts built a lead in the first half, extended it in the second half, and held on for the victory.
For the Bronco's it was one of Peyton Manning's worst playoff performances, completing just 26 of 46 passes, for only 211 yards and 1 touchdown.
A big surprise in the game was Indy's offensive line, which did not allow a single sack on Andrew Luck, and controlled most of the game, including a very dominant fourth quarter drive, which lasted 8 minutes and 14 seconds, and ended in a critical field goal from Adam Vinitieri, to put the Colts ahead by 2 scores.
On the other side of the ball, the Colts defense sacked Manning twice, and on one sack Manning fumbled the ball and the Colts recovered.
Up next the Colts will travel to New England to take on the Patriots next Sunday night, for an AFC title, and a potential trip to the Super Bowl.
