(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indiana Fever signed Tamika Catchings to a two year contract through the 2016 season.
Catchings says this will be her final contract and plans to retire after the deal is over.
The 35 year old was the Fever's first round pick back in 2001 out of Tennessee, missing that season due to a knee injury. She's an 11-time All-WNBA selection, won the 2011 MVP and led the Fever to their lone WNBA title in 2012.
Catchings has had a legendary career up to this point as she is third in league history in points, fourth in rebounds and first in steals.
Should she finish out her final contract in full, the five time Defensive Player of the Year will be the first WNBA player to spend at least 15 seasons with one team.
