(Evanston, IL) - Indiana blew an opportunity to clinch a spot in the NCAA tournament as they fell to Northwestern 72-65.
Tre Demps led the Wildcats over IU with 23 points.
The Hoosiers wasted a solid performance by Troy Williams who had a 21 point, 14 rebound double double. Robert Johnson and Yogi Ferrell add 11 points apiece but Indiana shot a paltry 36% from the field.
After the game head coach Tom Crean said "We can't keep falling in to this habit where if shots aren't falling we can't recover."
The loss gives the Hoosiers their second loss in three games and third in their last five.
