(Indianapolis, IN) - The Colts signed a trio of big time free agents on the opening day of free agency but their biggest splash happened in day two as the team agreed to terms with wide receiver Andre Johnson on Wednesday.
The 12 year vet gave Indy fits with his time in Houston and now the Colts have him on their side for three years and $21 million dollars.
Johnson said the reason he chose Indianapolis was because of the potential to win a championship. "I got a few years left and want to spend them chasing a championship and knew Indianapolis was the place that could make it happen."
As the Colts welcome in a new member to their team they also waved goodbye to a pair of others as the Arizona Cardinals signed former Indy defensive end Cory Redding and center A.Q. Shipley to two year deals.
