(Cleveland, OH) - Notre Dame is back in the Elite Eight for the first time since 1978 after they topped the Shocker of Wichita State 81-70.
Demetrius Jackson led the Irish with a 20 point night while Pat Connaughton earned a 16 point, 10 rebound double double. Notre Dame was on fire in the second half hitting 75% of shots. Jerian Grant distributed the ball well with 11 assists along with nine points.
The win gives Notre Dame a Saturday showdown with top seeded Kentucky, as the Wildcats humiliated #5 West Virginia 78-39.
