(Indianapolis, IN) - Multiple reports say Colts head coach Chuck Pagano will enter the upcoming season as a lame duck as both he and the team don’t look likely to reach a contract extension before the start of the regular season.
The same goes for general manager Ryan Grigson, who is entering the final year of his contract as well.
Meanwhile, at the NFL Owners Meetings in Phoenix, Colts owner Jim Irsay touched on the difficult conversation he had with wide receiver Reggie Wayne when he had to tell him the team would not re-sign him. "That was a touch conversation because I love and appreciate everything he's done for the Colts. We had a man to man talk and he understood where the franchise was coming from and we wish him well on whatever he decides on."
