(Bloomington, IN) - The Indiana Hoosiers announced Wednesday that sophomore guard Stanford Robinson has chosen to transfer away from the men’s basketball program.
The release stated that Robinson asked for the transfer so he could attend "an institution closer to his home where he can earn more playing time."
Robinson's collegiate career was marred by controversy during his playing days in Bloomington. He was arrested last spring after being caught with a fake ID outside a local bar, and he was later suspended for 2 pre-season games, as well as 2 regular season games this year after failing an offseason drug test.
