(Chicago, IL) - The Colts strayed away from addressing defense in round one of the NFL Draft and instead gave Andrew Luck another offensive weapon.
With the 29th overall pick the Colts selected wide receiver Phillip Dorsett from the University of Miami (FL). The five foot ten inch speedster ran a 4.33 40-time at the NFL Combine, was a second-team All-ACC wide receiver in 2014 and averaged 24.2 yards per reception last season.
General Manager Ryan Grigson said the pick signaled that the team "stuck to their guns" and took the best player available according to their draft board.
The Draft continues tonight with round 2 and 3. The Colts have the 61st and 93rd pick. Rounds 4-7 take place on Saturday where the Colts have an impressive six picks.
