(Indianapolis, IN) - For the second day in a row there was a scary crash at the Speedway.
This time it was Josef Newgarden who, in the final hour of Thursday's practice, went nose first into the wall at turn one and flipped backwards before rolling over. Newgarden was checked, cleared and released by the medical staff.
Simon Pagenaud clocked the top speed on Thursday at 228.793 MPH. Carlos Munoz, Sage Karam, Scott Dixon and Tony Kannan were the rest of the top five.
