(Indianapolis, IN) - Colts’ linebacker Robert Mathis hasn’t yet fully recovered from his torn Achilles and practiced with the team during OTA’s but that hasn’t stopped him from repeating his intent to be ready by the time the regular season starts.
"I said it. I meant it. I'll be back by September" the 34 year old said to the Anderson Herald Bulletin.
Meanwhile, defensive lineman Art Jones says the fact that the Colts are one of the few teams with no holdouts and every healthy player participating in OTA's is a testament to the organization.
"Jim Irsay and Ryan Grigson find players who are passionate about the game and want to improve. What else are we going to do right now? Why not be here and get better?"
