(UNDATED) - IndyCar’s James Hinchcliffe released a video to let fans know his recovery from his May 18th accident at Indianapolis Motor Speedway was “ahead of schedule” but he remains cautious about returning to driving.
He also revealed he took fourteen pints of blood en route to Methodist Hospital and said it was "touch and go" until doctors fixed the artery.
He said he will need another surgery and while he doesn't envision racing this season he said the way his recovery has been progressing makes him think there is at least a possibility.
