(Indianapolis, IN) - The Colts off-season program officially came to an end on Thursday and linebacker Robert Mathis spoke with the media about his progress as he continues to rehab his Achilles.
"It's frustrating because I'm used to going 100 miles per hour but I just have to be smart. I'm at the stage of my career where I have to 'go smart' not hard."
Mathis says he plans to be ready for week one against the Buffalo Bills.
The Colts also announced they will hold joint practices with the Chicago Bears on August 19th and 20th at the Colts practice facility. The practices will take place after Indy's first preseason game and be closed to the public.
The Colts host the Bears in their week two preseason matchup on August 22nd.
