(Indianapolis, IN) - The NCAA has approved multiple rule changes to men’s basketball for the 2015-16 season, with a 30-second shot clock and fewer timeouts being amongst the changes.
The rules committee recommended the changes to speed up the pace of play and increase scoring.
Timeouts will be reduced from four to three in the second half. For women's basketball, they will now play four 10-minute quarters instead of two 20-minute halves.
