(Indianapolis, IN) - As the Colts and Bears wrapped up day one of their joint practice session Chuck Pagano said it was a great way to see how the Colts stack up around the league, but stressed that they aren’t showing their entire playbook over the next two days.
"We're going to give them a bunch of situational stuff. The Bears are thinking the same way we are, we just want to play football. Are we going to show them our entire playbook? No. Are they going to show us their whole playbook? Absolutely not."
Both teams called the session beneficial and Colts' tight end Dwayne Allen said the practices help keep you on your toes as a player.
"There is a ton of benefits to these practices. Facing the same guy in practice every day can get repetitive because you start to learn little keys or tendencies but facing someone new forces you to get back to the basics."
