(Indianapolis, IN) - The injury bug is starting to bite the Colts as nine players sat out of practice on Sunday, including Vontae Davis, Darius Butler and VIck Ballard.
Meanwhile, Andre Johnson, D'Qwell Jackson and Bjoern Werner were among five players who were given rest days.
On top of all that, defensive lineman Kelcy Quarles and center Jonathan Harrison were kicked out of practice due to getting into a scuffle.
Add to the fact that Robert Mathis and Donald Thomas are both on the PUP-list and a whopping 18 players missed all or part of Sunday's practice.
Chuck Pagano called the situation "very hard, very difficult" and said it is a situation he doesn't wish to run in to very often.
Meanwhile, Andre Johnson said after years of going against Vontae Davis as an opponent, he's happy to have on the same uniform. "You knew going up against him it was going to be physical so he makes it fun but I'm glad I don't have to face him in a game any more."
