(Indianapolis, IN) - Reggie Wayne has agreed to a one-year contract with the New England Patriots.
Wayne helps add depth to a wide receiving core that has been ravaged with injuries this preseason.
The 36-year old wide out had triceps and knee surgery this off-season and Chuck Pagano says he's happy to see #87 continue his career.
"I think everyone in the organization is very happy for Reggie. We knew he wanted to play one more year so I'm happy to see him getting to do that and we wish him all the best."
Meanwhile, former teammate T.Y. Hilton said it will be weird seeing his former mentor in a Patriots jersey.
"Yeah, it'll be weird to see him not in a Colts jersey but I couldn't be happier for him. He was a major influence on me and I look forward to seeing him down the line."
