(Indianapolis, IN) - The Colts locked up T.Y. Hilton to a long-term deal.
The five year, $65 million dollar contract extension will keep Hilton a member of the Colts through 2020.
After practice on Thursday, the newly paid wide receiver said he's happy to be a Colt for a long time. "It was a long-time coming. I'd like to thank Mr. Irsay and Mr. Grigson for letting me be a part of this organization for years to come. I love being here. This is a dream come true."
All the talk at Colts' camp on Thursday was the new deal for wide receiver T.Y. Hilton and Chuck Pagano said he's earned every penny, "I'm really happy for T.Y. It's well deserved and he's earned it. He's a hard worker, a great teammate, he's productive and does the right thing on and off the field."
As the team readies for their preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, Pagano said he and the coaching staff still have to figure out playing time. "To be quite honest, we're still in "training camp mode" but we'll get together and sit down in the next day or so and figure out who's playing where and for how long."
