(New York, NY) - For the third time in seven years the Indiana Fever are Eastern Conference champions.
After a rally from 18 points down in Game 2, the Fever won a decisive Game 3 with a 66-51 victory over the New York Liberty.
Marissa Coleman led Indiana with 15 points while Erlana Larkins racked up 12 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
Head coach Stephanie White became the first-ever WNBA rookie coach to win a conference championship, and said the team's playoff run is a group effort.
"We've got experienced players who have been here before, we have young players where this is their first time, we have a group that works so hard for each other."
Indiana will face off with the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA Finals. Minnesota captured the Western Conference title with a sweep of the Phoenix Mercury. The WNBA Finals begin on Sunday in Minneapolis.
