(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University has handed down punishment for two of their men’s basketball players that were cited for possession of alcohol.
Sophomore Emmitt Holt has been officially dismissed from the men's basketball program entirely and Freshman Thomas Bryant is receiving internal discipline.
A statement from the university says that Holt displayed "exceptionally poor judgement" in the recent citation especially after an incident last year where he hit a teammate with his car while intoxicated.
In discussing Bryan the release states that he is subject to additional discipline for any future failure to "live up to his responsibilities to the program."
