(Indianapolis, IN) - Colts owner Jim Irsay said despite the uncertainty of Andrew Luck’s status for Sunday’s game against the Patriots, he expects #12 to suit up.
"I really think that, unless something happens, I see him being a go on Sunday. I'm not saying 100 percent for sure, but I think there's a strong likelihood he's a go. I was with him on Thursday, and he's feeling a lot better."
Luck, along with T.Y. Hilton, was limited in Thursday's practice.
After signing a one-year deal to return to the Colts and add some depth behind Frank Gore, Ahmad Bradshaw said Indy was the place he always wanted to be.
"I definitely wanted to be here. I didn't have any other options up to this point. There was some interest here and there but here is where I wanted to be."
Bradshaw continued, saying Sunday's game against the Patriots is just another game on the schedule.
"It's the Patriots. They knocked us out of the playoffs last year but this is just like any other game."
With the Colts being the team that started the ball rolling on the Deflate-gate controversy, it wouldn't be unreasonable to think Tom Brady and company would have some added motivation heading in to Sunday night's game. But if Brady holds any ill-will, he wasn't letting on in his weekly press conference, calling Sunday's game "the next one on the schedule".
"Yeah, I have motivation for every game we play. Whether it's a preseason game, a division game, a playoff game, I always have motivation. It'll be an exciting game, they're a very good team, they've won three straight so it's going to take a great effort to beat them."
