(Indianapolis, IN) - Twenty four hours after digesting the loss to the Patriots, Chuck Pagano said he doesn’t regret calling the fake punt play on fourth-down in the third quarter.
"Not pleased with the way I prepared the guys, coached the guys to go out and execute the play. That's on me. I have to do better," Pagano said Monday. "But I don't regret the play call."
Meanwhile, Griff Whalen and Colt Anderson took their share of the blame.
"What happened on the field wasn't what was drawn up on paper. As players we have to take responsibility like coaches do. We're going to live and learn with this play," Whalen said.
Meanwhile, Andrew Luck reflected on his first game back and the loss to the Patriots.
"There were some good things but there were also bad things. There are no moral victories in the NFL. Our focus is now on to New Orleans."
