(Indianapolis, IN) - While Chuck Pagano said he was not worried about his job security in Monday’s meeting with the media, multiple reports say there have been “organizational discussions” about Pagano’s future with the team.
Pagano is signed only until the end of this season and there have already been reports of a "heated exchange" between owner Jim Irsay and general manager Ryan Grigson after Sunday's loss to New Orleans.
At 3-4 the Colts next three opponents are a combined 18-1 and a rough finish heading in to the bye week in Week 10 may only fuel more speculation about Pagano's future.
The Colts swallowed another bitter pill on Sunday with their loss to the Saints and on Monday, Chuck Pagano said the offense has to start correcting their mistakes.
"We have to get it going. We keep shooting ourselves in the foot with turnovers and penalties and those are drive killers. It's frustrating but we have to find a way to get it right. We have to get it fixed in a hurry."
The Colts also confirmed that first-round pick Phillip Dorsett fractured his fibula and will undergo surgery on Tuesday. He is expected to miss at least the next 4-6 weeks.
