(Indianapolis, IN) - The Colts snapped their three-game losing streak as they held off the Broncos 27-24, handing Denver their first loss of the season.
Andrew Luck was efficient, throwing for 252 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Frank Gore ran for 83 yards and a score.
The Colts racked up 365 yards of offense against the league's top-ranked defense and after the game Luck said it was nice to get back in the win column.
"We needed it as a team, we needed it for the season, it was a one-game playoff in the sense and what a great team victory. Offense, defense, special teams, everyone played well. It was fun."
The Colts defense kept Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense to just seven points in the first half, with Manning finishing with 281 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
Chuck Pagano credited new offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski with the gameplan.
"What a great job by Chud and the coaches, to come in on a difficult situation and put in the work and the effort. It was great to see."
The Colts are 4-5 as they head in to their bye week. When they reconvene, it will be a Week 11 visit to take on the Atlanta Falcons.
