(UNDATED) - A weekend report from Al-Jazeera that alleges a link to former Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and human growth hormone has been denounced by both Manning and the Colts organization.
The source of the information, Charlie Sly, alleged Manning received HGH under his wife's name in 2011, the year he missed the entire regular season recovering from a series of neck surgeries, from the Guyer Institute, an anti-aging clinic in Indianapolis.
Manning calls the reports completely false and Sly has since recanted his entire story, which had been captured on hidden camera.
Former team president Bill Polian also came to Manning's defense, saying the team was aware of all of treatments Manning received and that all rules were followed.
