(Indianapolis, IN) - The Colts need ten games to go their way in order to make the postseason and with the Broncos rallying to defeat the Bengals 20-17 in overtime on Monday Night Football, the Colts are 10 percent closer to their goal.
It was a good way to end a day in which the Colts announced Matt Hasselbeck has an AC joint sprain, all but ending his season, while placing Charlie Whitehurst and guard Hugh Thornton on injured reserve.
With Luck, Hasselbeck and now Whitehurst all injured, the Colts are left with Stephen Morris, who was signed off of the Eagles practice squad less than a week ago.
The Colts also worked out quarterback Josh Freeman but Chuck Pagano said they haven't made a decision to offer him a contract or not.
Pagano also wouldn't comment on his own future, brushing off questions about his job security and state of mind. When asked if the Colts would keep playing tough even if their postseason dreams were to end, Pagano said, "There is no quit in this team. None. I've never seen this group quit and they won't now. They're professionals. They have a job to do. They have too much pride to roll over."
