(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - Vince Edwards scored 24 points and had eight rebounds to help No. 21 Purdue hang on against Minnesota 68-64.
It was a game that the Boilermakers were lucky to escape with a victory as they turned the ball over 14 times, something Edwards said can't continue to happen.
"We can't have any more lessons. We need to be mature and grow up. We had too many turnovers, almost cost us the game, but we were able to pull it out."
A.J. Hammons added 16 points and eight rebounds of his own.
Purdue struggled defensively, allowing the Golden Gophers to shoot 50 percent from the field. The absence of freshman Caleb Swanigan and junior Kendall Stephens tested Purdue's depth during the game but the Boilermakers were able to earn their fourth win in five games and next take on Nebraska on Saturday.
