(CHAMPAIGN, IL) - No. 18 ranked Indiana found themselves down 28-27 after a mediocre first half of basketball.
The second half was a turn of events for the Hoosiers, as they shot 58 percent, 10 of 17, from beyond the arc.
Yogi Ferrell was the juggernaut that helped the Hoosiers generate an offensive explosion to win 74-47. Ferrell finished with a team high 27 points, including 5 of 10 from 3 point range.
Both Nick Zeisloft and Thomas Bryant had 14 points.
Defensively, the Hoosiers held Illinois' best two scorers in check, Malcolm Hill and Kendrick Nunn, as they only had a combined 13 points.
On Tuesday, Indiana will travel to Iowa.
