(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts took care of one of their own on Tuesday, signing kicker Adam Vinateri to a 2-year deal worth $6 million, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The 43-year old will also have the ability to make an extra $1 million in incentives. Vinateri made 55 of 58 of his field goal attempts the last two seasons. Since 2014, he has made 91 percent of his field goals of at least 40 yards, which is the highest in the league during that span.
"We are thrilled to have Adam as a member of the Colts family," General Manager Ryan Grigson said in a press release. "Adam continues to play at the highest level year in and year out and his hard work, consistency and professionalism are a credit to him being the longest tenured active player in the NFL."
