(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Colts defensive lineman Arthur Jones has agreed to take a cut in salary in order to stay in Indianapolis.
Jones has been plagued by injuries in his first two seasons with the Colts, including missing all of last season with ankle injuries.
Jones will reportedly reduce his salary from $4.5 million to $2.5 million but will be able to make the $2 million back through incentives and roster bonuses.
In two years with the Colts, Jones has been limited to 23 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
With only two quarterbacks currently on the roster, the Colts began the search for backup options on Thursday.
The Colts interviewed Luke McCown but later in the day he signed a two-year deal to remain with the New Orleans Saints.
Meanwhile, reports say that Packers backup Scott Tolzien has lined up a meeting with the Colts later today. The 28-year old is also drawing interest from the Bears.
