(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Colts linebacker D’Qwell Jackson was found guilty of simple assault from his February 2015 arrest after punching a pizza delivery driver.
Jackson reportedly turned down a plea deal and will be sentenced on April 6 where he could receive up to 180 days in jail and a maximum $1,000 fine. Jackson may also receive punishment from the NFL under their personal conduct policy.
The Colts released a statement following the news saying, "We are disappointed to read reports of D'Qwell Jackson's misdemeanor verdict. We've not had an opportunity to review any of the evidence or testimony from the trial and have not made a determination as to any action we may take as a result."
