(DES MOINES, IA) - The Hoosiers made a statement in their opening-round matchup on Thursday as they thumped Chattanooga 99-74.
Yogi Ferrell had 20 points and a season-high 10 assists while Thomas Bryant had 13 points of his own. Indiana shot 64.9 percent from the field and 62.5 percent from 3-point range.
The Hoosiers were the only five-seed to defeat their twelfth-seeded opponent as both Purdue and Baylor fell earlier in the day.
The Hoosiers advance to the second-round, where they'll take on Kentucky on Saturday.
