(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The first-round of the NFL Draft gets underway tonight and with the No. 18 overall pick the Colts will try to make a splash that adds an instant impact to their roster.
One year removed from hearing his name called, wide receiver Phillip Dorsett reflected on his draft day.
"I'm not going to lie, I was nervous. I didn't know what was going to happen. I saw my name and I was overwhelmed with joy."
Asked if he had any advice for the incumbent 2016 class of Colts he said, "When you get here it's time to grind. Don't worry about where you were drafted, don't worry about the hype. You're going to hear a lot of positive things, a lot of negative things but you just have to put the blinders on and come here ready to work."
As the Colts continue to knock the rust off in Week 2 of their off-season program Andrew Luck gave a progress report on how it's going.
"Great, very good. There's a lot to be covered and guys are doing a great job, being professional about it. Coming to work ready to go, leaving with good questions and getting them answered."
With the NFL Draft right around the corner Luck said he and the team become fans just like everyone else.
"It's a fun time. It's fun for the fans, it's fun for us to sit back and watch. Hopefully there will be a bunch of new guys, a bunch of fresh faces coming into the locker room ready to help us get us where we need to go."
