(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - With LeBron James sitting out of Wednesday night’s game, the Pacers rolled past the Cavaliers 123-109.
Paul George led the rout with 29 points while C.J. Miles came off the bench to drop 21 points of his own. Indiana shot 56 percent from the field and almost 52 percent from beyond-the-arc.
Kyrie Irving led Cleveland with 26 points while Kevin Love scored 21.
"They still have All-Stars on their team," Frank Vogel said when asked if LeBron not playing was a sigh of relief. "They're a one seed for a reason, not just because of LeBron James but because they're a good team. They've got guys that can beat you. It comes down to be single-minded in your focus with what you have to do that game. You don't get excited when a guy is in or out. You just say 'okay, this guy is out, this is what we have to do to win this game.'"
The Pacers are now three games clear of ninth-seeded Chicago with four games to play.
Indiana takes on Brooklyn Sunday in their penultimate home game of the regular season.
