(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - As the Colts hosted their three-day minicamp over the weekend Chuck Pagnao talked about first-round pick Ryan Kelly’s first time on the field.
"He's a pro already. He's got a long way to go but coming from the program he came from, the conference he played in, you can tell he's way ahead. Everything we threw at him, it was pretty easy. The recall was excellent. You can just tell presence, he fit right in. It's not too big for him."
Meanwhile, there were plenty of players who made their college careers in the state at the minicamp, including former Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson, Purdue wide receiver Danny Anthrop and University of Indianapolis wide receiver Reece Horn.
All three expressed the want to impress coaches and find a spot on the team, with Anthrop saying, "You try to make yourself necessary. You try to stand out, make yourself necessary to the team in the coaches' eyes."
