(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Colts punter Pat McAfee announced at Indianapolis Motor Speedway that he is sponsoring Conor Daly’s car in the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.
McAfee, and his newly-formed company, Shirts For America, which raises money for military families, will sponsor the No. 18 Honda.
In a joint press conference, McAfee said how the partnership with Daly came to be.
"I asked Conor who his primary sponsor for the 500 was and he said he didn't have one. My team and I saw this as an opportunity to not only get an Indianapolis kid in the 100th running of the legendary Indianapolis 500, but a chance to raise some money for some military foundations as well. We're going to get this kid in the race to win. We are going to celebrate in Victory Lane by chugging 10 bottles of milk and we're going to raise money for some military foundations while doing so."
