(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts signed first-round pick Ryan Kelly to his rookie contract on Wednesday.
Rough estimates have Kelly earning around $10.4 million with a $5.7 million signing bonus with a fifth-year team option.
The No. 18 overall pick was a three-year starter at Alabama, starting 36 of 46 career games for the Crimson Tide and was named the nation's top center by winning the Rimington Trophy.
Colts rookie minicamp begins on Friday.
The Colts parted ways with center Khaled Holmes on Monday, making it appear Kelly is the team's starting center from day one.
Meanwhile, Andrew Luck got some bulletin board material on Wednesday as NFL Network debuted their annual Top 100 Players list.
Checking in at No. 7 last season, the Colts QB cratered 85 spots to No. 92. Luck's former teammate Reggie Wayne took to NFL Network to defend his former quarterback.
"No disrespect to Peyton but there's nobody I've seen that prepares more than this guy. He does it the right way. He sacrifices his body, he sacrifices his time. He's always trying to get better. He wants to be great."
