(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts have locked up Andrew Luck to a long-term deal.
Luck signed a six-year, $140 million contract with a reported $87 million guaranteed. The contract will keep No. 12 under center for the Colts through the 2021 season, when he'll be 32 years old.
Owner Jim Irsay called the contract negotiations a "smooth process" and said he "couldn't be more thrilled" with the signing.
Luck said he was happy to have the deal signed and in the rear-view mirror.
"What an honor and privilege to be a part of the Colts always; to have this deal done is great. I've loved being a Colt, and continue to love being a Colt."
The contract is the largest in NFL history with the most guaranteed money.
