(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Georges Niang made his Pacers’ practice debut on Tuesday and said afterwards he was thrilled on draft night to land in the Hoosier state.
"It was great. People were screaming, yelling, hollering. That was when I realized the real work starts. I'm excited to be a Pacer and get the journey started in Indy."
Meanwhile, Pacers' coach Nat McMillan talked about the team's draft night selection and what he brings to the table.
"Out of all the guys we brought in here for pre-draft workouts I thought he was the one that showed the most intelligence on and off the court. During our first practice he made adjustments on the fly, which is something you rarely see in young guys. He has a great feel for the game, can handle the ball, he does a great job of just being in the right place."
McMillan noted he was excited to see what Niang can do in the team's summer league program.
