(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts held Tuesday’s mini-camp in front of fans at Lucas Oil Stadium.
After practice, owner Jim Irsay touched on a number of topics including the progress of Andrew Luck's contract extension.
"It's progressing well. There's nothing new to report. I'm still hopeful that before training camp we can get something done. I think both sides feel 'the sooner the better'. It's obviously going to be a big number and we want to make sure that the contract is something that's 'Colt-friendly' even as we approach the next decade."
Irsay went on to say he would be surprised if a deal wasn't finalized by the start of training camp.
Meanwhile, Chuck Pagano called Wednesday's practice "the best we've had to date" but said he wanted the team to take advantage of the limited time they have left before they go their separate ways ahead of training camp.
"These guys are going to be away for 47 days so when we hit training camp we can't start over we have to hit the ground running and be where we are at right now."
