(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - As the Rio Olympics inch closer, the Pacers’ Paul George said he is excited to be a part of Team USA and wants to earn that elusive gold medal.
"I've always wanted to do this. This has been a dream of mine, to play for my country. I was pretty excited to join up."
George says he has no worries donning the Team USA jersey two years after his horrific leg injury during a team practice and said, if anything, it became a motivation tool.
"This is just completing the story. Winning a gold medal would complete the story from the injury. I almost owe myself this second chance to play for my country."
