(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Pacers got through their first training camp practice on Tuesday with the focus mostly on defense.
"We were one of the top defensive teams last year, we want to make sure we bring that to the floor this season. We have to be solid on rebounding, getting to the ball, disrupting offenses, so the focus of day one was defense," head coach Nate McMillan said.
Paul George said defense is one of the team's strengths that will make them successful against opponents.
"We want to continue to be one of the top defenses, if not the top defense in the league. We take pride in that and it is what is going to make us successful against some of the better teams in the league."
