(NEW ORLEANS, LA) - The Pacers opened up their preseason with a stellar 113-96 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Seven players scored in double figures, including four who were making their Pacers debut. Al Jefferson led the team by scoring 14 points in 18 minutes off the bench and added five rebounds.
Thaddeus Young knocked down a 12 point 10 rebound double-double and Jeff Teague added 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Rookie Georges Niang came off the bench and scored 12 points to go with eight rebounds.
The Pacers make their preseason home debut on Thursday when they host the new look Chicago Bulls.
