(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - It wasn’t always pretty but the Colts found a way to win as they edged the Chicago Bears 29-23 in what was a surprising offensive shootout.
Andrew Luck threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns and hooked up with T.Y. Hilton, who had 10 catches for 171 yards and a score. Adam Vinateri was a perfect 5-for-5 on field goals, including a 53 and 54-yarder.
Meanwhile, Brian Hoyer led Chicago with just under 400 yards passing and two touchdowns while IU alum Jordan Howard ran for 118 yards.
"We needed to get off the snide and get a win," Luck said after the game. "We needed to get that taste out of our mouth. We needed a win. Winning cures all in this league."
The Colts were vastly out-performed when it came to total yards, with Chicago putting up 522 on the Colts' defense compared to 397.
Indianapolis is a game behind the division-leading Houston Texans, who they play next in front of a national audience.
