(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - At the halfway point of the season the only consistent thing about the Colts is how inconsistent they have been.
On Sunday, they were soundly defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs 30-14, specifically by backup quarterback Nick Foles.
Foles came on in relief for Alex Smith who left the game not once, but twice after his head bounced off the turf. Foles threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns while Smith threw for 127 yards and a touchdown before his afternoon ended prematurely.
For the Colts, Andrew Luck threw 210 yards, two touchdowns, an interception and a costly fumble. The Colts fumbled three times as a team.
"I struggled," Luck said. "I think every offensive player in the room felt like we let each other down."
Luck led the team in rushing with 60 yards as Frank Gore was limited to 37 yards and T.Y. Hilton was limited to just one catch for 20 yards.
The Colts' defense continued to struggle as tight end Travis Kelce hauled in seven catches for 101 yards and a touchdown and wide receiver Tyreek Hill wasn't far behind with five catches for 98 yards and a score.
The Colts fall to 3-5 on the season and hit the road to take on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
