(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Andrew Luck has been selected by teammates as the recipient of the 2016 Ed Block Courage Award.
The award recognizes a player on each of the 32 NFL teams who demonstrate courageous play.
"It is an honor anytime your teammates recognize you for anything," Luck said. "When you play a team sport I think the respect of your teammates and your peers is a two-way street and always has been the most special part of being on a team."
Luck will join the other 31 selections for an award ceremony banquet in March.
Elsewhere, former Colts Edgerrin James and Chris Hinton were two of 25 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017. The list will be cut to 15 finalists in January.
