(Cancun, Mexico) - Playing in the Cancun Challenge in Mexico last night, the Purdue men’s basketball team won their first game of that tournament with an 85-64 win over Utah State.
Dakota Mathias led the Boilermakers with a career-high 25 points while shooting six of seven from three point range.
Purdue controlled the game from in the paint as Isaac Haas scored a game-high 26 points and Caleb Swanigan posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
The Boilermakers will take on Auburn tonight at 8:30 in the championship game. The contest can be seen on the CBS Sports Network on most television programming providers.
