(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts knew what was at stake in their game against the Texans but they still managed to lay an egg on their home field with a 22-17 loss.
Houston running back Lamar Miller totaled 122 yards and a touchdown while the Texans' running game racked up 185 yards total on 41 carries.
Andrew Luck threw two touchdowns and two interceptions and ran for his life the majority of the game. Despite one sack, the Texans hit the Colts' QB 13 times and forced a fumble as well.
"We laid down. It's simple," wide receiver T.Y. Hilton said after the game. "Guys didn't make plays that were supposed to make plays."
Hilton was the lone bright spot on the offense, catching 9 balls for 115 yards and a touchdown.
Only 24 of Luck's 45 pass attempts were caught with former first-round pick Phillip Dorsett catching only 3-of-8 targets for 19 yards.
The Colts fall down to third place in the AFC South and 10th overall in the AFC standings with three games to play. Any shot at the playoffs not only involves the Colts having to win all three of their final games but also some help within the division.
