(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - The Colts need to win out to have any shot at the playoffs and they started off on the right foot with a 34-6 rout of the Minnesota Vikings.
Andrew Luck threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns while Robert Turbin rushed for a pair of his own and Mike Adams forced a fumble and added an interception. It was a dominant offensive show against one of the league's best defenses as the Colts offense racked up 411 yards and easily won the time of possession battle, holding the ball for over 37 minutes.
"I don't know what it is about this group but with their backs against the way, must-win game situation, seems like all hope is lost, this team responds," Chuck Pagano said.
A returning Adrian Peterson was a non-factor in the game, rushing six times for 22 yards and losing a fumble.
The Colts have rattled off four straight road wins but now face their toughest test, quite possibly of the season, when they travel to the "Black Hole" in Oakland to take on the 11-3 Raiders on Christmas Eve.
