(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts chances of making the playoffs took a major blow with their loss to the Texans on Sunday and on Monday they were dealt three more hits as Clayton Geathers, Jack Mewhort and Curt Maggitt were all placed on season-ending injured-reserve.
The team signed free agent safety Duke Williams, cornerback Charles James and promoted wide receiver Devin Street from the practice squad to help fill out the 53-man roster.
At the Colts' practice facility, it was a somber mood as Chuck Pagano and company know they missed a golden opportunity on Sunday.
"We had a chance to control our own destiny and we don't have that luxury anymore," the Colts head coach said following Monday's practice. "We can choose how we move forward. How we practice, how we play and how we respond."
The Colts have a tough test on Sunday when they visit the Minnesota Vikings, who are vying for a playoff spot in the NFC.
